The Great
Dragon's Cave
On a hot summer day
of August, a boy went on a hike in the forest. He loved to until one day
when a weird voice that said:
''Get out, get out now or bad things will
happen.''
The boy froze and looked
around. There was nothing to be in site of the boy. Then he heard the voice
again. He was scared, really scared. Then he heard cracks and he heard the
voice again, and again.
"Why, why do you want me
to go?” The boy asked.
The voice didn't answer.
He stared at the trees and
said: why won’t you talk me?
Then he saw a cave that
looked as if someone took black paint and dumped it there.
When he got in, over
1,000 bats flew out. He ducked quickly as the bats flew above him.
He went more through the cave
it was quiet … very quiet. As the boy got more into the cave it had been like
night with no stars or a moon in the sky. The boy already went 1 mile through
the cave as dark blue water dripped on his shirt.
So dark… if he did not
have his torch, he wouldn’t see his hand in front of his face.
When he got deeper in
the cave it felt colder, denser, and the smell was so horrible it made his nose
wrinkle as the stench covered him. It smelt if smoke was everywhere. He thought
it was his torch. But when he went even deeper into the blackness he saw from
the bottom of the cave smoke had been coming from he thought that was why
he had smelt the horrible snitch. Then, the smoke dropped very quickly.
He wondered.
He saw ribs bones and skeletons
full of bugs and rats trying to get the remaining. He jumped away thinking what
they were there for as the rats ran away.
Then he saw a tail coming
from a dark passage and a weird looking one. He hid so he could see what that
tail was attached to. Thoughts raced through his head wondering what it could
be.
Then he saw fire and
ran. A dragon flew out of the cave the boy tripped on a stick that fell from a
tree close by and saw the dragon. The dragon was breathing red fire. Next, a
fire dragon went flying out of the cave. Then, a water dragon and an air dragon
and all kinds of dragons flew out of the cave. The boy felt the violent moving
wind over his back. Then the earth dragon made a big roar and all of the
dragons went right in the cave and the boy did to. The earth dragon was very
old for a dragon. So he went to the earth dragon for help.
Then he said ‘’I was
told to leave the forest for some rezone and I want to know why’’.
Then the dragon said ‘’well
you have to find out yourself’’.
He recognized that
voice from somewhere he said ‘’I feel like I have heard you before
The dragon said and
where do you think you heard me.
The boy said in the
forest when I was walking, but I didn’t see anyone.
So you came to my palace?
No.
Thank the lord that you
did’.
Why’?
Have you ever seen what
you walk on’?
Yes.
What?
Mostly Sticks and dead leaves.
Well what kind or
dragon am I?
You’re an earth dragon.
So when you step on
dead leaves and sticks I can fill it.
So now you know why. So I am
going to say this one last time, get out know or I will haunt you for the rest
of our life. What will happen if I don’t get out?
Then I will eat you for dinner.
So I will put you with my collection of bones on that rock over there were my
skulls of people who didn’t get out. And you skull will be on that rock with
all the others.
The boy said’ you know what I
think I will just leave. Because I don’t want my skull on your rock.
So the boy left the cave and
his mom said why it has taken you 2 hours to get back. Usually it takes you
about 20-30 minutes to get home. Then he told his mom all he had done on his hike.
And why it took him 2 hours to get home. The mom said you have a good
imagination my boy. For a boy like you.
That night he had sworn he
had seen a light in the cave but this time the cave was a lot more different
and it was over a boiling thing of lava so the boy went back in his pajamas and
a Lantern. He went into the cave and duck but no bats came flying out of the
cave
He said ‘why didn’t any bats
come out like last time they should right about now he said in a whispering voice to himself .
He heard a cry and a big
bang. He wondered into the cave scared as can be. He looked all around him
looking for the earth dragon.
He heard an even bigger bang
and went further in the cave. He was extremely scared. He went deeper and
deeper into the cave. He had then seen the dragon. But this time the earth dragon
was crying for some reason. He walked closer to the dragon. He said to the
dragon why are you crying.
Then the dragon said ‘have
you seen what is in the forest ground.
Then it just turned to him.
The dragon said
‘Didn’t I tell you that you
were never supposed to come back.
The boy said y …yes in a
shivering voice.
The dragon said ‘So I guess
you want your skull with the rest of them.
The boy said n …no in a
scared and shivering voice.
The dragon said ‘then why did you come back
to the cave.
The boy said because I saw a
light in the cave and wanted to find out what it was.
What light the dragon said.
The light in this cave the
boy said.
There was no light that I
have seen in this cave.
Then why did I see a light
and not you? The boy said.
The dragon had a suggestion
for the light and he said ‘does anyone or anything want you dead.
The boy said well there is
this snake called the ‘’light snake’’. Well then that is problem I think.
The boy said how that can’t
be.
Well the light snake came
into the cave and lit up and it made you want to come back to the cave.
Then were can the snake
be. Back In the forest.
The dragon said sshhuuuuu for
a minute then the boy and the dragon heard cracking noses in the forest.
Then the dragon screamed
loudly in the wind and it cared through the tree tops of the dark forest. Birds
went flying from the trees.
The boy said what, what is it
in a loud voice the boy said.
The light snake had bit the
ground because the snake knew that when something is put in the ground he makes
a big roar in the tree tops. The snake knows that because when the people put
things in the ground he is in the cave because he lives there and he sees the
dragon roar.
The dragons said to the boy
kill me now before someone else sticks something in the ground or more like in
me.
The boy said ‘’why do you
want me to kill you.’’ ‘’I would never do that to you if my life depended on
it’’
‘’Hurry’’ the dragon said ‘’do it now before I
do it myself.’’
‘’No don’t do it.’’ the boy
said
The dragon said ‘’go to the
hole over there and there are some weapons in the hole’’. ‘’Get one and throw
it at me.’’
So the boy did what the
dragon said and got a weapon. But he didn’t throw the weapon he just held it in
his hands and didn’t do anything at all.
The dragon said ‘’do it now
before I just do it in the loudest’’ voice as he had.
The dragons claws came out he
was about to do it but I said something that made him stop doing what he was
about to do.
The said something so
surprising that the dragon stopped and listened to the boy. The boy said I love
you!!!
The dragon’s claws went down
then
The dragon screamed and his
claws came out as fast as he could and he killed himself.
The other dragons turned to
dust and he was alone in silence.
The boy had dark tears dripping
from his eyes. He stood there and looked at the earth dragon.
Then something magical
happened.
The dragon’s spirit rose up
and out of the cave the boy was amazed with what he had seen. The tears on his
face dripped off as this magical thing happened.
He walked out of the cave and
then half way in the forest he seen the light snake. He sat here as still as he
could. The light snake looked around. He didn’t see the boy but the snake then
saw something move. The snake lit up and he saw the boy the boy ran for his
life. The snake slithered toward him with his razor sharp teeth. The snake
hissed saying I am going to get you if you don’t go faster than that. The snake
stopped and sat there for his friends to come. The snakes went charging as the
light snake straggled behind the rest. The boy had got home safe he ran to his
bed and jumped in. the looked all around him he summand out of bed. He went in
the kitchen and got something to drink and he went into the living room it was
quiet till he heard cracking sounds. In the walls, floors and the roof. He went
and got his mom and she woke up and the sound stopped.
His mom said ‘what is it now?
The boy said I heard cracking
sounds all over the house the mom listened and heard nothing but her heart.
The mom said well I don’t
hear cracking sounds.
The mom told him to go back
to bed and he did. He sat in bed remembering the dragon.
On day in September something
happened to him the dragons spirit had come back down but it didn’t go back up
it went all into his heart and the spirit of the dragon had stayed in his
heart. The boy was as fears as a dragon. He was brave and smarter.
He went outside and roared
like a dragon. The spirit of the dragon came out as a dragon form and went back
into him.
The boy went back to bed and
had fallen asleep the minute he hit his head to his pillow. That morning he
woke up he felt more than himself because of the dragon’s spirit can make all
powerful. The boy got dressed and got breakfast then went to the cave he creped
in and found the dead dragon’s body on the hard black dull ground. The boy sat
by the dragon’s body felling his armor like scales. The boy started to fell a
tingling on his body the boys feet got big and harder the boy started to see
scales on him. The boy was changing into an earth dragon with razor sharp
teeth, big wings, and even bigger feet.
The boy ran out of the cave
as he changed more into a dragon. The boy started to fly with his enormous
wings. The boy flew up to the clouds amazed of what he was seeing. The boy flew
higher and higher till he could touch an airplane. The boy flew down like a
rocket ship. He hit the ground but he didn’t stop he went into the ground with
a big roar. The boy had made a big passageway with his big body.
The boy came back up out of
the ground. The boy was sore from hitting the ground so fearfully. The boy was
very dirty the dirt covered his body like a brown coat.
His mom was just getting out
of bed. She looked all over the house for the boy but she had no success
finding him.
The boy on the other haps was
walking in the dead forest. Then something happened the boy changed back into
his body form. He ran home and his mother saw him she made a big frown and said
where have you been the mother said in a normal and whispery voice. The boy
lied and said in the back yard. The boy was worried he would get into a lot of
trouble.
Something nocked on the front
door. The mother went to go answer it and the boy sneaked to his room the
mother answered the door and no one was there. The mom looked out the door and
still saw nothing. She shut the door and then something knocking on the door
again she open the door and nothing was there again.
The boy screamed the mom went
racing to him the boy stood on his bed. The mother asked what had happened.
The boy told his mom that
smock was on his floor and it made a face like shape and it said something but he
could not hear what it had said.
The boy and his mother
decided to move. They moved to a house that was big and had many things to do
and see. The two of them lived in the house and was much happier. But the boy
still thought about the dragon ever day as he started to fill like him every
day.
