In chess you have 10 pawns. At first you can move two spaces if you want. And after that you can only move one space. You can only take a player diagonally. A pawn cannot move backwards.




in chess you have 2 rooks. They can move forward, backwards, left, and right.

In chess you’ve got 2 nights. They can move 2 forward and one over or 2 over and one up. A night is the only player that can jump another player.








you have two bishop. Bishops can move diagonally. Back ward and frontwards.




you have one king. The king is the most important player in the game. A king can any way you want it to move. But It can only move one space at a time. You can get check in chess. That is when some kind of player can take your king. You can block there move if you can move a player in front of it. There is also check mate. Check mate is when you have something that can take our king any way you move. One more thing is in the picture the king is up and down. When you give up you can put our king down.

This is a queen. A queen can move any way she wants. Diagonally, forward, backward, left, and right
